What You Need to Know about Bangladesh Visas
Bangladesh may not be like the cities of New York or Singapore, but it also has its own unique and unexploited tourist sites you can visit. You may do so, thanks to Bangladesh visas.
A visa is an official document that makes you eligible to enter the country that issued it. In Bangladesh, you can acquire the right type of visa for your purpose. Check out the website of the Bangladesh consulate in your country, if available, for updates on the requirements and regulations on visas.
Types Available
There are several types of Bangladesh visas:
A Bangladesh entry visa allows you a relatively short tourist visit, or simply permits you to arrive in Bangladesh, with the actual terms of your stay remaining to be determined upon your arrival.
A Bangladesh visit visa is a type of visa that requires sponsorship from an individual such as your relative or the establishment you are working for. This visa is valid for 60 days and is renewable for an additional month, with fee.
A Bangladesh tourist visa is issued if you want to tour Bangladesh, sightsee, or spend your vacation in the country. Generally, it is for recreational purposes.
A Bangladesh business visa is issued if you are entering the country for business purposes such as financial responsibilities or business negotiations.
Finally, a Bangladesh official or diplomatic visa is issued to members of diplomatic communities and their families, while the official visa is for government officials.
Requirements
If you are a tourist visa applicant, you need to provide essential documents like your passport, completed application form, passport-type photographs, flight itinerary from your travel agent, return tickets, business letter (for a business visa), and letter from the government agency or embassy that serves as confirmation of your travel.
Corresponding fees are also collected.
Additional Information
Bangladesh embassies or consulates also issue no visa seal or NVR. The Consulate General gives this “No Visa Required for Travel to Bangladesh” seal to citizens who are of Bangladeshi origin currently living in foreign countries. The same applies to their family members such as wife and children.
NVR allows them to enter the country multiple times without restriction on the duration of their stay, as long as their passports are valid. If you’re interested in reading this article, you’ll surely enjoy learning how to vacation cheaply.
