Cuban Passports
A Cuban passport application is usually submitted to the Cuban Embassy in the applicant’s area. General requirements may change without notice, so it is always a good idea to check up on them before submitting any documents. Cuban passports can also be used as a valid identification document, which is always a good thing if you are in need of official identification.
Types Available
A Regular passport is the passport issued to most citizens of Cuba. It doesn’t grant any special privileges other than travel internationally.
A Diplomatic passport is issued to Cuban diplomats or emissary envoys doing diplomatic work in other countries. It does not grant diplomatic immunity to the bearer.
Requirements
The following are the requirements to obtain a Cuban passport. The requirements must be fulfilled and submitted to the Cuban Consular office.
Additional Information
When filling out the passport application form, it is preferred that a black-inked pen be used and that marks that will be made do not go beyond the box borders. When printing out the name, it must be made sure that it corresponds to the name that is in the official birth certificate.
Currently, the Cuban passport is accepted in 23 countries around the world.

My husband is Cuban and I’m mexican, he currently lives in Mexico and has his cuban passport. In which countries is the cuban passport accepted. Do they need special paperwork different that what mexican do to travel?
